Pharmaexhibition was organized by the Faculty of Pharmacy on 4th November 2021.  Vice-Chancellor Dr. Syed Irfan Hyder –inaugurated the event in which 22 multinational and local pharmaceutical companies participated in providing preparatory information to students about different career options. Several students were interviewed for pharmacy internship programs and apprenticeships. This exhibition served as a core stone in the professional development of the students and guided them regarding their significance and role in the pharmaceutical industry.

World’s Pharmacist Day

“On World’s Pharmacist Day students from 4th and 5th year participated in ‘Miniature Pharmacology Model Competition’ which was organized by Science Club, Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Karachi. Several teams of different universities participated in this competition and amongst them, the team from the Faculty of Pharmacy Ziauddin University secured 1st Position.

We would like to congratulate faculty and students and especially appreciate the mentorship of Dean Faculty, Prof. Dr. Rafeeq Alam Khan, Head of the Pharmacology Department Dr. Ghulam Abbas, and Assistant Professor Dr. Hammad Ahmed. Under their immense support and motivation our students aced the competition.”

World pharmacist day was celebrated at the Faculty of Pharmacy to recognize the role of pharmacists

World pharmacist day was celebrated at Faculty of Pharmacy  to recognise the role of pharmacists under the theme “Pharmacy: Always Trusted For Your Health”. This theme was chosen this year world wide to draw special attention to the value of trust in the health sector and the practice of pharmacy. Dean faculty of pharmacy, Dr. Rafeeq Alam Khan and professor & advisor to chancellor, Dr. Anwar Ejaz Beg encouraged the students to realize their role in society and also acknowledged the efforts of pharmacists during Covid-19 global pandemic. The celebrations were carried forward with a cake cutting ceremony, poster competition and lunch for the students.

Final year students of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Ziauddin University participated in the Poster competition and celebration by Martin Dow Limited.

We are happy to announce that students secured 3rd position in the inter-university poster competition on the topic “Role of Pharmacist in the Emerging World”

Agile leadership Program

The students of the final year of Faculty of Pharmacy, Ziauddin University, were invited to be a part of the Agile Leadership Program, organized by Martin Dow Ltd between the 19th-21st October 2020. The students were given a comprehensive review of the various job opportunities and the departments within the industrial setup by the esteemed professionals from within the industry. A healthy discussion and assessment was also provided for the students on the possible way forward for them once they graduate. This was followed by an industrial tour of the facilities of Martin Dow Ltd

14th August Celebration

A small 14th August celebration took place on campus of the Faculty of Pharmacy with a cake cutting ceremony organised by the students of the Leisure Club.

AO BHOOK MITAYEN

The Community and Welfare Society, Faculty of Pharmacy, Ziauddin University, along with other NGO;S has been actively working from home and completed their first ration distribution drive ‘Ao Bhook Mitayen’, with an aim to help daily wagers who have been affected with the current pandemic.
We have served numerous deserving families, and distributed 30 ration bags in drive one.a great majority still awaits help. Community and Welfare Society, Faculty of Pharmacy would like to thank all the donors for being so generous.
