Leisure Club, Faculty of Pharmacy – (Ziauddin University) had arranged a warm welcome for the new batch 19 and succeeded to make the start of a long journey memorable for them. It’s not only the academics students remember but the memories that stay forever as an asset to the students.
The Faculty of Pharmacy, Ziauddin University always showed great enthusiasm in organizing academic events like seminars, workshops, and lectures to help in increasing the knowledge of our students. The Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry has previously arranged numerous scientific sessions on different topics. In continuation of this trend, the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry organized a thoughtful awareness session on the topic of hair fall. The session was organized in collaboration with Sigma Pharma International with the title of “One-Day Awareness session on Hair fall Associated problems among youth and how to manage it through diet and supplements “on 14th March 2023 at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Link Road Campus. The Guest Speakers from Sigma Pharma International were invited who highlighted the probable factors behind the hair fall, the importance of balance, and nutritional supplements to treat hair fall associated problems. At the end of the session, students were given a certificate of participation and giveaways by Sigma Pharma International.
Ziauddin University welcomes the new batch of Pharmacy students to the Orientation Ceremony at Education City, Link Road on Feb 6, 2023. We were all set to embark on a journey with these students to help them become future leaders in the field of Pharmacy.
Faculty of Pharmacy, Ziauddin University, offers a Residency Training Programme to our fresh graduates. Graduates have a great opportunity to work in the pharmacy of Ziauddin Hospital where they are trained to work as hospital pharmacists and have learning at hospital and clinical areas of pharmacy. Interviews were conducted on January 10, 2023, to select our fresh graduates for the Residency Training Programme.
The Department of Pharmaceutics and pharmacy practice faculty of pharmacy organized a workshop on the PROBLEM BASED LEARNING for faculty members .In order to solving the complex real problem via critical thinking and solution .PBL can promote a good communication and teaching skill.
Scientific Club of Faculty of Pharmacy, Ziauddin University organized an event on “Pathway for Pakistani pharmacists to Canada” with the very special guest speaker “Syed Faraz Hussain Jafri” who’s currently an owner of “Dover pharmacy” and former assistant manager at South City hospital, Karachi. He shared his journey to become a Community Pharmacist in Canada. He inspired many students and gave them confidence to take a step forward in their professional career. The event ended with an interactive questions and answers session.
Team of the Faculty of Pharmacy won Runner up trophy in the Boys Cricket ChampionshipTournament organised by the Office of Student Affairs (Sports division) with almost 10 other colleges/faculties participating.It was a much- anticipated event that had the crowd on their feet.
The Faculty of Pharmacy, Ziauddin University has long supported and encouraged the organisation of academic events like lectures, seminars, and workshops as a means of disseminating knowledge. In continuation of this commitment, the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry has organized a lecture on “Awareness on Quality Medicine and Pharmacovigilance” in collaboration with Novartis Pharmaceutical Pakistan on 4th October, 2022. Speakers from Novartis Pharma were invited to enhance education on quality medicine and safety reporting among our prospective pharmacists. All attendees received a certificate by Novartis Pharmaceutical to participate in this session.
